Misbehavior of a lawyer with a woman judge, the court will ban the practice

Allahabad High Court : Misbehaving with a lady judge is a good thing for a lawyer. The Allahabad High Court has barred a lawyer from practice for abusing and insulting a woman judge. Due to this decision of the court, this lawyer will not be able to practice in any court in Uttar Pradesh.  The court has also directed the lawyer concerned to appear in person before the High Court on January 12. 

A bench of Justice Ashwini Kumar Mishra and Justice Shiv Shankar Prasad on Monday heard a reference made by a woman judicial officer appointed under the Bulandshahr court. The order was passed in response to the criminal contempt proceedings initiated. At this time, the court has also warned the lawyer concerned to be careful in future and not to act in a prejudicial manner. Not only this, his behavior will be closely monitored by the High Court.  

Mahila Yayadhil in one of her letters said that on December 20, 2022, due to the actions of the concerned lawyer, she had to rise from the court and take refuge in the chamber to defend her life, liberty and dignity. Again on December 21, 2022, the lady judge was publicly insulted and abusively abused by the lawyer concerned. Not only this, the defendant is accused of daring to challenge it openly in court.

Meanwhile, in view of the facts, the court exercised its jurisdiction under Chapter XXIV Rule 11(2) of the Rules of Allahabad High Court and directed the respondent to further Date (12th January 2023) directed to reply. ) has been ordered to prohibit her from practicing in any court in the state. 

 The court directs the District Judge Bulandshahr to take necessary action for the safety of women judges and not to obstruct or support judicial proceedings in any way‍ It is directed to ensure that there is no obstruction from this person.

On August 1, 2022, the High Court issued a notice to the Advocate-in-Chief (Bharat Singh) in this matter. But failing to file a reply by January 2, 2023, the court has directed them to reply.
