Hanmanthappa Intillipadi of Dharmaram, Pitlam Mandal, Kamareddy District, Telangana State went to sleep after finishing his meal on Saturday night (December 31). But a man named Shankar from the same village planned to steal from their house. Shankar broke into Hanmanthappa's house after everyone was asleep. When he was going the way he had brought the jewelry and money, he saw a pile of cotton in a corner of the house. Shankar, who was already drunk, fell into a deep sleep while lying on the cotton. At dawn, Hanmanthappa's family members finished their work, locked the house and left for their work. Shankar woke up after they left. He was stuck in the house as the door was locked outside.
In the evening, Hanmanthappa's family members came home and opened the door to find Shankar in their house. With the help of neighbours, Shankar, who tried to steal from their house, was arrested and informed to the police. The police reached the spot and seized the cash from him and handed it over to Hanmanthappa. Later, the police took the accused to the station and registered a case.
