A 70s underworld story
In the previously released title teaser, Dhruv Sarja is seen in a retro style costume, biting a long in his mouth and tying a man. In this movie, Prem will tell the story of 70s rowdyism. This story is written based on some real events and it is said to be a very big movie in Prem’s career. The film will release in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi languages. According to the production house, the film will feature actors from different languages of Indian cinema. It is already confirmed that Sanjay Dutt will act in this movie.
Director Prem is recreating the 70s for this film. A huge set is being put up in a 20 acre place at Sunkadakatte, Bangalore, a set inside Mysore Lamps, a set in some studios in Hyderabad, Mumbai. Most of the movie will be shot on the set itself.
The film I am making with Dhruva Sarja has a story inspired by real events that took place in 1970. An attempt has been made to show it commercially. I will retain the style of speech of that time in this movie. Many things are not going to be censored. Similarly, I have given the same name to many characters who have real names. This story that took place in Bangalore is exciting, in a sense, a great war was fought then. So I put it on the poster as a prelude to war,’ says Prem about the film.
