UPMSP: Recognition of 199 schools of UP Board will be taken away, examination centers will not be built

UP BOARD 2024: Action is underway to snatch the recognition of 199 schools affiliated to UP Board. Board Secretary Dibyakant Shukla has sent the list of these schools to all the district school inspectors through the Additional Secretaries of Prayagraj, Meerut, Varanasi, Bareilly and Gorakhpur regional offices and has instructed them not to make centers in the high school and intermediate examinations of 2024.

Many of these schools are such where cases of serious irregularities or mass cheating have come to light during board examinations. Apart from this, they are accused of cheating in other exams or facing other serious charges. The action of withdrawal of recognition of most of the schools is pending from the Joint Director of Education to the government level. It is noteworthy that 253 schools have already been debarred from the 2024 board exams.

Names of 16 schools of Ghazipur

Among the 199 schools whose recognition is under process, 16 schools are in Ghazipur, 12 each in Ballia and Mau and eight schools are in Lucknow. The names of four schools of Prayagraj, New Children Public School Sindhitola Shankargarh, Bachai Singh Singaur Inter College Chandrasenpur, UD Memorial Inter College Asrave Kalan and Pancham Lal Ashram Inter College Ghiyasuddinpur Transport Nagar are also in the list.

Let us tell you, at present, 7864 examination centers have been proposed for the UP Board examination. Last year there were 8753 examination centres. The last date for registration for UP Board was 10 October 2023. This year, a total of 3.76 less students have registered for the UP Board class 10 and 12 examinations. A total of 55,08,206 students have completed the registration process for the examinations to be held in January-February next year. A total of 29,47,324 candidates completed their registration for high school. This included 15,71,686 boys and 13,75,638 girl students. A total of 25 lakh students have registered in Intermediate, which includes 14,12,806 boys and 11,48,076 girls.
