BHU stagnates in world university ranking, 34th in Asia, IIT ahead in overall

In the ranking of the world's top educational institutions, BHU is stuck between 1001 and 1200. However, its ranking in the Asian University category has improved and has climbed three places to 34th position. 'QS World', which ranks 1500 top educational institutions around the world, has released the ranking for the year 2024. This time BHU has been overtaken by IIT here in the overall ranking.

In the year 2021, BHU did not get any place in this ranking. Whereas in 2022 and 23, BHU remained in the 1001 to 1200 slots of the world's top institutions in the ranking. This year, BHU's ranking is 34 among educational institutions in South Asian countries and 199 in the whole of Asia. In the sustainability ranking, BHU has ranked lower than last year. BHU, which was ranked 601 to 700 in 2023, has come in the slot of 981 to 1000 this time. BHU has secured 26.6 marks in its category. The highest score of 80.1 marks has been obtained in International Research Network. After this, it got 41.3 marks on number of PhD teachers, 26 marks on academic reputation and 20.6 marks on teacher-student ratio.

At the same time, IIT BHU has been ranked 571st in the world ranking and 684th in the sustainability ranking. The ranking for South Asia is 59 and for Asia as a whole it is between 271 and 280. IIT has got full 100 marks on the number of PhD teachers while 93.8 marks have been given on paper publishing by the faculty. It has got 18.9 marks in International Research Network and 10.6 marks in academic reputation.
