Stock Market Update: Investors suffered a loss of Rs 9.30 lakh crore due to four consecutive days of decline in the stock market.

Stock Market Crash: The Indian stock market has seen a continuous decline in the last four trading sessions since April 12, 2024. And due to this decline, the wealth of Indian investors has lost Rs 9.30 lakh crore. On Thursday, April 18, the market cap of listed companies in the Indian market has decreased to Rs 392.89 lakh crore, which was Rs 402.16 lakh crore on April 10, 2024. 

On April 10, BSE Sensex created history and managed to touch the figure of 75,000 for the first time and the index closed at the figure of 75038. But after this, Sensex has fallen by more than 2500 points in four sessions of trading in the stock market.  So the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange has also slipped by more than 750 points. 

The market capitalization of companies listed in the stock market was Rs 402.16 lakh crore on April 10, which has come down to Rs 392.89 lakh crore on April 18. This means that investors have suffered a loss of Rs 9.27 lakh crore in just four trading sessions in the market. 

Actually, late night on Saturday, April 13, 2024, Iran attacked Israel with drones and missiles. Due to this increased tension in the Middle East, a continuous decline is being seen in the global markets since Monday 15th April. The war between Russia and Ukraine has been going on for 26 months and the tension between Iran and Israel has increased the concern in the financial markets around the world. There is a possibility of a rise in the prices of other commodities including crude oil. So the global supply chain may also be affected. Due to which a decline is being seen in the stock markets all over the world. After the rise in inflation rate in America, the possibility of delay in cutting the interest rates by the Central Bank there is also one of the major reasons for the decline in the stock market and the Indian market is also not untouched by this.
