Many big companies and leaders from India and abroad have gathered on January 7 in Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu on this occasion. In this two-day long program, many companies have presented investment planning in the state. This will create more than 20,000 new jobs in the state.
These big companies announced investment
Many big companies like Tata Electronics, JSW Energy and TVS Group have announced investment in the state. Recently, many companies had also announced large-scale investments in Karnataka, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Telangana. At the Tamil Nadu Global Investors Meet 2024, Vietnam-based auto company VinFast Auto has announced a total investment of Rs 16,000 crore in its EV manufacturing unit in Tuticorin. Through this, a total of 3000 jobs are likely to be created in the state. JSW Renewables has said that it will create more than 6,000 jobs by investing Rs 12,000 crore in several different projects. Tata Electronics has talked about investing more than Rs 12,000 crore in Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu. Kanchipuram American solar panel manufacturing company will invest Rs 8,100 crore. Hyundai will invest Rs 6,180 crore in the state.
More than 20,000 people will get employment
TVS Group will create more than 500 jobs by investing Rs 5,000 crore in several different projects. Pegatron has announced an investment of Rs 1,000 crore, which will provide employment to 8,000 people in Tamil Nadu. Godrej Consumer Products will create 446 new jobs by investing Rs 515 crore. At the same time, Qualcomm is going to invest Rs 177 crore in the design center of Chennai and provide employment to 1,600 people. Investment by all these big companies will create a total of more than 20,000 new jobs in Tamil Nadu.
India's growth will get a boost
In the inaugural ceremony of Tamil Nadu Global Investors Meet 2024, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has said that this investment is going to boost the industrial growth of the state. Thanks to this, the state will soon be able to fulfill its ambition of having a 1 trillion dollar economy. State Chief Minister MK Stalin was also present on this occasion.
