Banks will remain closed for 15 days in April due to many festivals

According to the list of holidays issued by the Reserve Bank, there will be many festivals and anniversaries in the month of April. In such a situation, due to this, government, private and cooperative banks will remain closed for 15 days. Banks will remain closed for customers on the first date of April due to annual closing. Apart from this, due to many festivals and anniversaries like Mahavir Jayanti, Good Friday, Ambedkar Jayanti, there will be a holiday in the bank. On which days banks will be closed in April 2023-

  • April 1, 2023 – Bank holiday across the country except Aizawl, Shillong, Shimla and Chandigarh due to annual closing.
  • April 2, 2023 – Sunday holiday.
  • 4 April, 2023- Due to Mahavir Jayanti, there will be a holiday in banks in Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Raipur, Chennai, Jaipur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi and Ranchi.
  • 5th April, 2023 – bank holiday in Hyderabad on account of birth anniversary of Babu Jagjivan Ram.
  • 7 April 2023- Banks will remain closed across the country except Agartala, Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Jaipur, Jammu, Shimla and Srinagar due to Good Friday.
  • 8th April, 2023 – Second Saturday Holiday
  • April 9, 2023 – Sunday holiday.
  • April 14, 2023- Due to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, there will be a bank holiday in the entire country except Aizawl, Bhopal, New Delhi, Raipur, Shillong and Shimla.
  • April 15, 2023 – Bank holiday in Agartala, Guwahati, Kochi, Kolkata, Shimla and Thiruvananthapuram on account of Vishu, Bohag Bihu, Himachal Day, Bengali New Year.
  • April 16, 2023 – Sunday holiday.
  • 18th April, 2023- Bank holiday in Jammu and Srinagar on account of Shab-e-Qadr
  • April 21, 2023 – Bank holiday in Agartala, Jammu, Kochi, Srinagar and Thiruvananthapuram on account of Eid-ul-Fitr.
  • 22 April, 2023- Banks will remain closed in many places on account of Eid and fourth Saturday.
  • April 23, 2023 – Sunday holiday.
  • April 30, 2023 – Sunday holiday.

Banks will remain closed in many cities due to Ram Navami

The festival of Ram Navami is celebrated with great pomp in India. Today, on the occasion of Ram Navami, on March 2023, banks will remain closed in many cities. Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Gangtok, Hyderabad,  Jaipur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Bengaluru, Chennai, Guwahati, Imphal, Jammu, Kochi, New Delhi, Ranchi, Shimla, Banks will remain closed in Agartala, Aizawl and Kolkata. And today banks will remain open in Panaji, Raipur, Shillong, Srinagar and Thiruvananthapuram.

How to handle work when the bank is closed

It is worth noting that even after the bank is closed, you can easily do the work of withdrawing cash and transferring money. You can use net banking, UPI etc. to transfer money from one account to another. Whereas you can use ATM for cash withdrawal.
