Adani Group: Adani Group will invest Rs 8700 crore in Bihar, 10,000 people will get employment.

Adani Group: Adani Group is preparing to make big investments in different sectors in Bihar. The group will invest on a large scale in cement manufacturing, logistics and agro-industry. Addressing Bihar Business Connect – 2023 on the second day of the ongoing two-day Global Investors Summit in Bihar, Adani Enterprises Director Pranab Adani said that Adani Group will invest Rs 8700 crore in Bihar in the coming days. 

Pranav Adani, while addressing the summit, said, Adani Group has invested Rs 850 crore in Bihar. He said that now the group has decided that it will invest Rs 8700 crore in additional sectors like cement manufacturing, logistics and agro-industry, which will provide direct and indirect employment to about 10,000 people in the state. 

Pranav Adani said, Bihar has emerged as a very attractive investment destination in the country. He said that Adani Group is currently present in the logistics, gas distribution and agro-logistics sectors in the state. The group has invested Rs 850 crore in these sectors, which has provided direct and indirect employment to 3000 people in the state. He said that Adani Group has decided to increase its investment in Bihar by 10 times. 

On the first day of the summit, Bihar government has signed MoU with 38 companies for investment of Rs 26,429 crore. These companies will invest in textile, leather, food processing and general manufacturing sectors. In which Indian Oil has signed an agreement for investment of Rs 7386.15 crore, Patel Agri Industries Rs 5230 crore, Indo-European Research and Healthcare Private Limited Rs 2000 crore, UltraTech Cement has signed an agreement for investment of Rs 1000 crore.  

On the second day of the summit, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar released Bihar Logistics Policy 2023 and the coffee table book of the state's industries department. However, he did not address the summit. On the first day of the summit, State Industries Minister Sameer Kumar Mahaseth had demanded the Central Government to create Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in the state and also assured to provide all kinds of help to the industry.
