The reason for this is that banks in the affected places are going to remain closed for 4 consecutive days. Generally banks have a weekly holiday of one or two days. Apart from all Sundays of the month, there are bank holidays on the second and fourth Saturdays also. For this reason, there is a two-day weekend in banks every second week.

In many states, there will be a bank holiday for four consecutive days from October 21 to October 24. 21st October is the third Saturday of the month, but on that day there will be a bank holiday in many states due to Maha Saptami. Banks will remain closed in Tripura, Assam and West Bengal on October 21. After that, if October 22 is Sunday, banks will remain closed in the entire country.

On Monday, October 23, on the occasion of Dussehra or Vijayadashami, banks will remain closed in Tripura, Assam and The functioning of banks will remain closed in West Bengal. After that, on Tuesday, October 24, banks will remain closed in Tripura, Assam and West Bengal on the occasion of Dussehra or Durga Puja. In this way, the functioning of banks will be affected for four consecutive days in the three states Tripura, Assam and West Bengal.

This time the month of October is anyway busy in terms of holidays. Is proving to be special. The month has started with a long holiday. There was a bank holiday in the entire country due to the first date of the month i.e. 1st October being Sunday.
