According to information received, Ghatlodia police had remanded Mukut Gomch Hapgadda and Eman Joseph Topna, arrested from Jharkhand in the Ghatlodia double murder case, in court for remand. The accused, on the other hand, were found to have committed murder with intent to rob.

It was submitted by the public prosecutor in the court that the accused is cunning and therefore is not cooperating in the investigation. Money from them is also to be recovered. Also, no true facts have been revealed about the clothes worn by the accused at the time of the murder. It is therefore necessary to recover the clothes worn for the investigation. As well as the manner in which the accused committed the murder, there is a need to investigate in that direction as there is a possibility of someone else’s involvement with him.

The prosecution also told the court that the accused had broken into the house of the elderly couple and killed them. The accused have been living in the city for a long time and whether they have committed any other crime or not, a seven-day remand is required to investigate all these issues. After hearing the counsel’s argument, Ahmedabad Rural Court Judge Priyu Sharma granted five-day remand to both the accused. It is learned that the police have also conducted an investigation in the direction of handing over the arecanuts.
