In Chitrakoot today at 3.30 am, a team of STF had an encounter with Gauri Yadav gang. STF team killed dacoit Gauri Yadav in this encounter. Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh had announced a reward of Rs.5 lakh on Gauri Yadav. STF has recovered many weapons including AK-47 from the spot.

Gauri was a big dacoit after Dadua and Thokia
Gauri Yadav, a dacoit of Dadua and Thokia, had become a big name in the rugged aftermath. Gauri Yadav was running underground for a long time. Four months ago, suddenly it had spread panic by firing in the forests of Chitrakoot. Gauri Yadav, who entered the world of robbery about 20 years ago, formed his own gang in 2005. Gauri Yadav was also arrested in 2009 after Dadua was killed in 2008 and Thokia a few days later. He was later out on bail.
