Discussion on India's digital revolution

Talking about the digital revolution in India, PM Modi told Bill Gates, “During the G20 summit in Indonesia, representatives from all over the world expressed their curiosity about the digital revolution in India. I explained to them that we have democratized technology to stop monopoly. It is by the people and for the people.” Bill Gates praised India and the Indian government and said that there is a digital government in this country. He said that India is not only adopting technology but is also leading in this field.

Discussion on empowering women with technology

PM Modi said that women in India are especially free to adopt new technology and they are also adopting new technology rapidly. He discussed schemes like 'NaMo Drone Didi', which aims to promote technology especially among women. Modi said that this scheme has been successful in changing the mindset and providing new opportunities.

Discussion on AI technology

PM Modi also told Bill Gates how he used AI during the 2023 G20 summit. Apart from this, PM Modi also told Bill Gates that his Hindi speech was translated into Tamil using AI during the Kashi Tamil Sangamam event. PM Modi further said, "Historically, during the first and second industrial revolutions we lagged behind because we were a colony. Now the core of the fourth industrial revolution is the digital element. I believe that India will benefit a lot from this. AI is very important. Sometimes I joke that in our country we call our mother 'Aai'. Now I say that when a child is born, he says 'I' as well as 'AI' because nowadays children have become very advanced."

Discussion on challenges of AI

AI technology has brought with it as many challenges as it has brought facilities to the world. PM Modi also discussed the challenges of AI like deepfake technology with Bill Gates. Modi stressed the importance of dealing with the challenges posed by AI. Apart from this, the PM has also discussed with Bill Gates on measures like comprehensive training for AI systems, adding watermarks to AI-generated content and establishing a legal framework to regulate deepfake technology including AI. h2 style="text-align: justify;">Discussion on Green Hydrogen Project

The Prime Minister of India also talked about India's progress in renewable energy and green hydrogen. He described the launch of hydrogen-powered boats in Tamil Nadu as an important step.
