Video: Umran Malik broke the bails against Punjab Kings, Rahul Tripathi asked- ‘Did you break stumps with tennis ball too?’

Indian Premier League 2023: The 14th match of IPL 2023 was played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings on 9th April. In this match, Hyderabad team defeated Punjab Kings by 8 wickets. This was Sunrise Hyderabad’s first win in IPL 2023. In this match, Sunrisers bowler Umran Malik broke the bails while bowling stormy. Later, teammate Rahul Tripathi gifted broken bells to Umran. This video is becoming quite viral on social media.

Umran Malik’s fast balls against Punjab Kings wreaked havoc. During this, he bowled out Punjab batsman Harpreet Brar. In fact, the bails were broken on Umran’s ball on which Harpreet was bowled. Later, Rahul Tripathi gifted Bells to Umran. During this, Rahul Tripathi asked, did he break stumps with tennis ball as well. In response to this, Umran said, ‘This has been happening often after joining Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Indian team’. According to Umran, ‘Maybe I have broken the stump once with a tennis ball but this is the second or third time in IPL. I broke one or two bails in the last IPL. This has also happened while playing for Team India. 


Umran took 2 wickets

In the match played against Punjab Kings, Umran Malik took 2 wickets while bowling stormy. He took 4 wickets for 32 runs in four overs. As far as the match is concerned, the batsmen of Punjab Kings were seen struggling in front of the bowling of Hyderabad. Shikhar Dhawan’s team could score only 143 runs in 20 overs in this match. Apart from Dhawan and Sam Karan, none of the Punjab batsmen reached double digits. Shikhar Dhawan scored an unbeaten 99 runs. Whereas Sam Karan scored 22 runs. Hyderabad completed the target of 144 runs for the win at the loss of 2 wickets.
