Tourism New Zealand set a 154-run target for Team India in the second T20I at Ranchi on Friday. New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first. 3×4 in balls) made 153 for 6 with no loss. Among Indian bowlers, Herschelle Patel took two wickets while Bhubaneswar, Deepak Chahar, Akshar Patel and Ashwin took one wicket each.

New Zealand had to settle for 153 runs. In the end Mitchell Shantner (8 not out: 9 balls) and Milne (5 not out: 4 balls) tried to play big shots but the Indian bowlers did not give them a chance.
