T20 WC: Shakib’s big record in a losing match; The first bowler in the world to do so

> Shakib Al Hasan News: Bangladesh’s star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has overtaken former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi to become the highest wicket-taker in T20 World Cup history. Shakib did so by dismissing Pathum Nisanka in the Super 12 match against Sri Lanka on Sunday. Prior to this match, Shakib had taken 39 wickets in 28 matches in the T20 World Cup. Shakib, who took four wickets for nine runs against Oman, first outscored Afridi by dismissing Nisanka and then took his 41st wicket in the form of Avishka Fernando. Afridi took 39 wickets in 34 matches. Shakib also tops the list of highest wicket takers in T20 internationals.
