Rahul Dravid, the new coach of the Indian cricket team, felicitated the employees who prepared the best pitch under the leadership of Shiv Kumar with an incentive of Rs 35,000 at the Green Park ground here. India-born Ejaz Patel and Rachin Ravindra displayed scintillating restraint to save New Zealand from a loss against the hosts by saving the last wicket here on Monday.
“We would like to make an official announcement,” the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) announced in the press box after the game. Rahul Dravid has personally given Rs 35,000 to our ground personnel.
During his time, Dravid was known for his fair playing spirit. The incentive money received by the groundsmen was a symbol of the fact that the pitch had something for the bowlers and batsmen on day five of the match.
