Shreyas Iyer And Pravin Amre Story: Shreyas Iyer earned the right to invite his coach Pravin Amre for dinner at home as he scored a century in his debut Test against New Zealand on Friday. Amre has been successful in fulfilling the condition put before him.
Let us tell you that long before Iyer scored a century in the debut Test, Amre told him that he would come to his house for dinner only when he scored a Test century.
After scoring a century against New Zealand, Iyer said, "So after today’s match (not the match) but after today’s century, I will send him a message and invite him for dinner."
Iyer at ‘Virtual Press Conference’ said in, "Whenever I go for training, Praveen sir keeps saying that you have achieved a lot in life. You have captained the IPL team, you have scored so many runs, you have done this, you have done that, but your main achievement will be only when you get the test cap and I am sure that when I get this cap If so, they would have been very happy."
he said, "I got a lot of messages and everyone said that this is an achievement and it is the best thing you achieve in your life. It reminded me of the early days of cricket in Mumbai. It’s a good feeling."
