Kanpur. Shreyas Iyer on Friday said he has won the right to invite his coach Praveen Amre for dinner at home after scoring a century on his Test debut after fulfilling a condition put to him by the former India player. . Long before Iyer scored a Test century on his Test debut, Amre had told him that he would come to his house for dinner only after he scored a Test century. “So after today’s match (not the match) but after today’s century, I will send him a message and invite him for dinner,” Iyer said after the second day’s play of the opening Test against New Zealand was over.

Iyer has become the 16th Indian batsman to score a century in his Test debut. Amre also scored a century in his Test debut which he scored in 1992 in South Africa. He is coaching Iyer. Iyer said in the ‘Virtual Press Conference’, “Whenever I go for training, Praveen sir keeps saying that you have achieved a lot in life, you have captained the IPL team, you have so many You have scored runs, you have done this, you have done that, but your main achievement will be only when you get the Test cap and I am sure they must have been very happy when I got this cap. ,
