Mayawati cut the ticket of Atiq Ahmed’s wife Shaista Parveen, said- no family member will become mayor candidate

Mayawati said that till now whatever facts are coming out through the media regarding the murder of Umesh Pal in Prayagraj. In this case, the situation has changed after Atiq’s wife’s name surfaced and she absconded. In such a situation, now our party will neither give mayor ticket to Atiq’s wife nor any member of his family. Apart from this, as far as whether or not to keep Atiq’s wife in the party is concerned, as soon as the police arrest him, whatever facts will emerge about him regarding this case, then it will also be decided soon. Our party is not above the law, our party fully respects the law.

Earlier, Mayawati said that the BSP welcomes the announcement of municipal elections in UP. The party appeals that the Commission should make the elections free and fair and elections should be conducted with ballot paper instead of EVMs. He said that we are strongly prepared for the elections. The OBC, Dalit and Muslim sections of the entire state are with the BSP, we are running on the cause of Sarvasamaj. He alleged that the rules were kept on hold in the reservation brought in the elections. The rights of the poor, Dalits and Muslims are being violated in the BJP government. He appealed to the public to vote without coming under the pressure of the ruling BJP. BJP people are adopting many handcuffs and manipulations like SP Raj. Now BJP, RSS are singing the praises of Pasmanda Muslim society. Muslims feel as insecure under the BJP government as they did under the Congress. Due to the wrong policies of BJP, Congress, SP, Muslims and Dalits have become Pasmanda.
