Senior IPS officer Rashmi Shukla’s lawyer Mahesh Jethmalani on Thursday claimed in the Bombay High Court that confidential information related to illegal phone tapping has been made public by two state ministers Nawab Malik and Jitendra Awhad. He said that both the ministers had disclosed confidential information related to phone tapping to the media.
He has described the investigation being done by the Mumbai Police in the High Court as one-sided. He said that senior IPS officer Shukla has worked with honesty and integrity. Despite this, the state government’s treatment with them is indecent.
He said, “Writing any document confidential does not make it confidential. My client is being targeted in this case. Let us inform that this has been filed on behalf of the petition in which he has requested to quash the FIR registered in the phone tapping case.
