Millets Ponganalu Recipe : Crispy Millets Ponganalu.. This is a tasty and simple recipe

Healthy Breakfast: It is needless to say how many health benefits millets have. But these have a little less taste. But these are eaten for health. But did you know that you can make delicious puffs with millets? They are a good choice for early morning breakfast in winters. Moreover, all the ingredients we use in this recipe are healthy. You can prepare millets puffs when you want to have a bit spicy, crispy, tasty and healthy food. And how to make it? Now let's find out what are the required ingredients. 

Ingredients required 

Millets – cup

Minappu – quarter cup

fennel – 2 tbsp

onion – 1 (chopped)

green chillies – 1

ginger – 1 inch

Garlic – 5 cloves

Mustard – 1 tsp

Minappu – 1 tsp

Curry – 1 sprig

Coriander – 1 bunch

Coconut – 2 tbsp (fresh coconut grated)

Salt – enough to taste 

Preparation Method..

< p> Millets should be soaked in water for at least 8 hours to prepare millets puffs. After they are completely soaked, wash them well.. Grind them in a mixer. Add water and grind to a paste. The batter should not be completely slippery. Take it out in a bowl.. Add one teaspoon of soda and salt and keep it aside. Now take small kadai for talampu. Light the stove and put a kadai on it and heat it with oil. Add mustard seeds and mint and roast it. Then add curry leaves, ginger and coriander and fry. After that add the onions.. they should be roasted a bit. Now turn off the stove and add coriander leaves and coconut. Add this fried mixture to the previously prepared batter and mix well. Check whether the salt is enough. 

Light the stove and put a ponganala pan on a medium flame and heat it. Spread ghee in each hole. Now take the millet flour and take the flour with a spoon.. fill the holes. So, fill it a little outside and not completely to the brim. Because they are overflowing it is hassle free. Now put a lid on the ponganala pan.. let it cook for three minutes. Now remove the lid and flip the puffs. Keep it until both sides are slightly roasted. Don't close the lid now. If the second side is also roasted, the hot millets will be puffed up. You have to make puffs in the same way with the rest of the dough. You can have it as breakfast with coconut chutney or tomato, palli chutney.
