Kids Health: Premature babies are more likely to develop asthma in the future

Some babies are born before they stay in the mother’s womb for a full 9 months. It is difficult for twins to stay in pregnancy for 9 months, and even with triplets (triplets) it is possible to give birth as early as the seventh month. Also due to the health conditions of the mother some babies are born in the sixth or seventh month. There are some types of health problems in premature babies. Especially the lungs and respiratory tract are not fully developed in them. That is why respiratory problems haunt them until they reach two or three years of age. After that they are like normal children. But it would be delusional to think that these problems are only limited to their childhood. A recent study says that it is more likely to happen again when they are older, i.e. after the age of 30.

Children born prematurely are more likely to develop asthma in middle age (over 30). Also ‘Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease’ The risk of lung problem is also high. If these two problems occur, breathing becomes very difficult.

Usually if the delivery occurs before 37 weeks of pregnancy, it is called preterm delivery. Almost all organs are developed in babies born in that womb. But some babies are born before 28 weeks. Researchers say that the risk of diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is three times higher in such children.

The World Health Organization says that every year around the world, one and a half million children are born prematurely. But in modern times, all of them are coming out of the brink of death due to the availability of advanced treatments. But in their future, problems like asthma are likely to threaten, the researchers explain. Such people need to take precautions.  There are also no early treatments available to prevent future complications in premature babies. It must be said that leading a healthy life is the only miracle treatment in front of them.
