PM Narendra Modi has made an important comment on the occasion of completion of 60 years of CBI. The Prime Minister said in the program of CBI, ‘You (CBI) do not have to stop anywhere. I know those against whom you are taking action are very powerful people, they have been part of the government and the system for years. Even today they are part of the power in some state in many places, but you have to focus on your work, no corrupt person should be spared. The Prime Minister said that the people of the country have faith in the CBI, it has given people a hope to deal with corruption during its tenure.

The Prime Minister said that the CBI has given hope and strength to the common people through its work. People have so much faith in the CBI that they agitate for the demand of investigation. CBI has established itself as a brand of justice. At the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of CBI, PM Modi said that the country cannot move forward without professional and capable institutions like CBI. He said that from bank fraud to many other cases have happened in the previous governments. We have clamped down on them and the properties of those who eloped with huge sums have been confiscated.

He said that the CBI has the responsibility to make the country corruption free. PM Modi said that earlier there used to be loot in the schemes, which we have stopped. He said that some people ran away after looting from the banks, the property of those people has been seized. Common people neither want to do wrong to anyone nor do they want to bear it. PM Narendra Modi said that CBI should set a target that what you will do in the next 15 years and what will be your plan till 2047.

Did PM Modi target Lalu Yadav family?

The Prime Minister clearly told the CBI that the people against whom you are taking action are very powerful people, but do not stop. PM Narendra Modi did not name anyone during this period, but his reference is believed to be towards the Lalu Yadav family. He said that the people against whom you are taking action have been in power and are still sitting in power in some state. His comment is being linked to the ongoing CBI investigation against the Lalu Yadav family in the Land for Job scam.
