The hearing on the divorce petition filed by Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya, MLA from Kunda in Uttar Pradesh, could not be taken up in the Saket court on Monday. The hearing was postponed due to the judge concerned being on leave. Raja Bhaiya has sought divorce from wife Bhanvi Singh in his petition. The matter could not be heard due to Sunali Gupta, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Family Court, Saket, being on leave on Monday. At the same time, Bhanvi Singh’s lawyer demanded some time from the court to file a reply in the case.
The court reader, considering both the sides, fixed May 23 as the next date for hearing the divorce petition. Advocate Dhruv Gupta appeared for Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya. Raghuraj Pratap Singh had filed a petition in the year 2022 for divorce from his wife. Raja Bhaiya has sought divorce on the ground of cruelty and separation (abandonment) from his wife. It is known that Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya has been married for 28 years. Raja Bhaiya and Bhanvi Singh were married in the year 1995.
Raja Bhaiya has alleged that Bhanvi Singh has left her in-laws house. Bhavani Singh has refused to come back to her in-laws house. Raja Bhaiya has also alleged that Bhanvi Singh has leveled false allegations against his family members. This behavior of Bhanvi Singh is like cruelty. It may be known that on the petition of Raja Bhaiya, the court had already issued notice to Bhanvi Singh.
The court had issued directions to Bhanvi Singh to appear in person on the next date. However, even today, Raja Bhaiya and his wife Bhanvi Singh did not appear in person for the hearing. Only the advocates of both had reached the court. Advocate Kunal appeared in the court on behalf of Bhanvi Singh. He requested the court to grant him some time to file his reply. Now the hearing on this matter has been postponed till 23rd of next month. On the next hearing, a reply will be filed on behalf of Bhanvi Singh’s lawyer on the allegations.
