‘Hara Hara in Kesariya, Vasundhara in Rajasthan’, loyalists’ message to BJP; ‘Birthday Party’ created a stir

Assembly elections are to be held in Rajasthan by the end of this year. Before the elections, former CM Vasundhara Raje has increased the political stir. Vasundhara Raje addressed a large gathering at an event organized four days before her birthday on Saturday. Huge crowds came to see their leader. Many BJP leaders, MLAs and MPs were also present along with Vasundhara Raje. Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje greets her supporters. A large number of men and women were standing and raising slogans.

A special message was hidden in his slogans to the top leadership of the BJP. People were raising slogans like “Saffron me hara hara, Rajasthan me Vasundhara”, “Vasundhara ji raj karo” abki baar, Vasundhara sarkar”. Actually there are speculations that BJP does not want to contest elections under the leadership of Vasundhara Raje. Raje was in the temple town of Salasar in Churu district in the midst of a leadership tussle in the state BJP ahead of the assembly elections, during which she displayed a massive show of strength.

“The Lioness of Rajasthan Has Arrived”

The rally was very cleverly planned. Actually March 8 is Vasundhara Raje’s 70th birthday. Holi is also on this day. His supporters are already celebrating. Although his supporters said that it was a birthday event, its political significance and message should not be interpreted. BJP’s Lok Sabha MP from Churu, Rahul Kaswan said, “Today a new foundation will be laid for the future of Rajasthan. The lioness of Rajasthan has come to wake up this Congress government which has been sleeping for four and a half years. Only one voice should go from Jaipur to Delhi.” – Hail Vasundhara!”

Vasundhara was celebrating birthday, BJP was protesting

The interesting thing here is that when the program to celebrate Raje’s birthday was going on in Salasar, at the same time a big protest was being organized by BJP’s Yuva Morcha in Jaipur against the Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government over the exam paper leak . It was also attended by Raje’s well-known rival state BJP president Satish Poonia. BJP’s Rajasthan in-charge in Jaipur Arun Singh also participated in the protest in the afternoon before going to meet Raje in Salasar. Raje’s speech at Salasar was a mix of political messaging, religious symbolism and an unrelenting attack on the Gehlot government.

A separate gallery was set up for saints and religious leaders, who remained there throughout the event, while a group of musicians sang hymns in praise of Salasar Balaji, a form of Lord Hanuman at the famous Salasar temple. Before addressing the supporters, Raje offered prayers at Salasar Balaji temple.

“Our leader is Vasundhara ji”

According to a report in The Indian Express, Shravan Ram Bijarnia, Sarpanch of a village in Didwana in Nagaur district, who sat in the middle of the meeting, expressed confidence that Raje would become the Chief Minister for the third time. Bijarnia is from the home constituency of Yunus Khan, a close aide of Vasundhara Raje. He said, “We are supporters of Yunus Khan. Because of Vasundhara ji, around 20-25 thousand people from Didwana have come here today. We are confident that the BJP will come to power and Vasundhara ji will become the Chief Minister for the third time. I am a Jat, like state BJP president Satish Poonia, but our leader is Vasundhara ji.”

In the 2018 elections, the BJP denied ticket to Yunus Khan from Didwana. Khan was then regarded as number two in Raje’s ministry. He was fielded by the BJP against then state Congress chief Sachin Pilot from Tonk. In the 2018 assembly elections, Khan lost to Pilot, the BJP’s lone Muslim candidate, by over 54,000 votes.
