UPSESSB TGT-PGT Recruitment: Due to the negligence of the officers of the Secondary Education Department, hundreds of unemployed people are stumbling from door to door. Verification report was sought in June from the District School Inspectors for adjustment of the candidates in the waiting list of Trained Graduate (TGT) and Lecturer (PGT) Recruitment 2021 in Aided Secondary Schools. Which has not been found till now. Angered by this, Additional Education Director (Secondary) Surendra Kumar Tiwari, in a letter sent on October 10, has sought verification report from the Divisional Joint Education Directors and DIOS.

Earlier, DIOS had the right to deploy teachers selected from Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Service Selection Board from the waiting list on vacant posts in aided colleges. For quick adjustment of candidates in the waiting list, to eliminate corruption and disputes, as well as to reduce the number of cases, the government amended the Selection Board Rules 1998 on March 31, 2023, and gave the right to adjustment to the Director of Secondary Education. After this the DIOS stopped taking interest in adjustment. From their level there was no interest in sending information about vacant posts to the Directorate of Education. The candidates on the waiting list who were waiting for adjustment had found 285 vacant posts in TGT-PGT 2021 and provided the list to the Directorate of Education. These posts remained vacant due to the originally selected candidates not taking charge. Although before adjustment, the Director of Education had sent the list on 12th and 26th June and sought verification report, but due to non-receipt of the verification report, these posts could not be included in the counseling held from 17th to 26th July.

AD gave last chance, responsibility will be decided

The Additional Director of Education has made it clear that even after receiving the verification report, if in the future there is a vacancy in TGT-PGT 2021 due to the originally selected candidates not joining, then the responsibility of the concerned will be fixed. AD has even written that details of many vacancies have deliberately not been made available to the Directorate of Education.
