UPPSC PCS 2024: Application starts for 220 posts of UP PCS, lowest number of posts in 12 years

Online applications for 220 posts of Uttar Pradesh Combined State / Senior Subordinate Services (PCS) 2024 started from Monday. Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has started applications for the most prestigious service of the state on the first day of the new year. Candidates between 21 to 40 years can apply. Candidates will be able to deposit fees online till 29th January. The last date for online application is February 2 and the last date for amendment in the application is February 9. The Commission has advised the candidates not to send hard copies of their records and online applications at the preliminary examination stage. Rather, while applying online, they should preserve the information of all the stages (like OTR, fee payment, final submission, qualification related amendments/error correction etc.) in soft and hard copy form for future reference. The preliminary examination will be held in 51 districts.

Lowest number of posts in 12 years, candidates disappointed

The competitive students are shocked as the number of posts in UP PCS 2024 is only 220. However, like every time, the Commission has written in the advertisement this time too that the number of vacant posts may increase or decrease, but the competitive students are disappointed due to the minimum number of 220 posts in 12 years.

There will be recruitment in government departments of Uttar Pradesh through UP PCS examination. After cracking this exam, apart from SDM and DSP, there are recruitment on posts like Sub Registrar Transport, Basic Education Officer, District Audit Officer, Senior Lecturer.
