UPPSC APS Recruitment: Computer knowledge is necessary in Additional Private Secretary recruitment, Public Service Commission sent proposal to Personnel Department.

UPPSC APS Recruitment: Now computer certificate alone will not suffice to become Additional Private Secretary in Secretariat and other government departments. This information should also be mandatory. Test will be taken for typing on computer along with other information about it. For this, preparations are being made to amend the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission Subordinate Services Rules. The proposal has been prepared and is ready to be approved by the cabinet soon. Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission conducts examination for recruitment to the posts of Additional Private Secretary. At present short hand and typing test is taken. The eligibility criteria for Triple C certification has been maintained for computers. Recruitment is done on the basis of this qualification, but those selected are facing problems due to lack of computer proficiency. There was a previous meeting regarding this in the Public Service Commission. In this, discussions were held regarding recruitment. It was decided that only those who are proficient in computers will be considered eligible for Additional Private Secretary recruitment.

For this, the Public Service Commission has sent a proposal to the Personnel Department to amend the Subordinate Services Rules. In this, computer certificates of higher institutions other than Triple C are being validated.

PCS 2024 notification expected soon:

The notification for the Regional Civil Services Examination 2024, conducted every year by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, can be issued soon. According to reports, the preliminary exam of PCS 2024 will be held in March. The notification for Combined State / Senior Subordinate Service and Assistant Forest Conservator / Regional Forest Officer Preliminary Examination 2024 of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission can be issued in the end of December or in the beginning of January. Last year, the notification was issued in the last week of December and the preliminary examination 2023 was held on 14 May.
