Candidates can download their exam result i.e. score card by filling their registration number, gender and date of birth on the portal to know the exam result. The score card shows the personal details of the candidates as well as their actual score, normalized score and percentile in the examination. The actual score of the candidate is worked out on the basis of correct and incorrect answers given by him in the examination. The normalized score is decided on the basis of a mathematical formula approved by the Commission to bring the candidates appearing in different shifts in more than one shift examinations to bring them at a comparative level of marks.

How to find merit
The percentile score of the candidate is also given in the result of the preliminary qualifying examination i.e. the score card. This score shows that by what percentage of the candidate who appeared in the exam is below that candidate in the order of merit. For example, if the percentile score of a candidate is 90, it means that 90% of the candidates who appeared in the exam are below him in the merit list. That candidate is included in the top 10 percentile of the candidates in the merit list.

secret hidden in qr code
In order to make the examination result completely transparent and fair, the Commission has taken a new initiative by putting QR code in the score card of the candidates. Its purpose is to completely eliminate the possibility of making fake score cards by tampering with the score card by anti-social elements in the examination results. By scanning this QR code, the authenticity of any score card can be verified and its marks can be seen along with the personal details of the candidate.
