Telangana government has announced recruitment for more than 11000 posts including second grade teachers and school assistants. According to the new notification, recruitment campaign will be conducted for the posts of school assistants, secondary category teachers and language pundits etc. for government and local body schools through the District Selection Committee (DSC-2024) system. In September 2023, the Government of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) had released a notification to fill 5,089 teacher posts through DSC-2023. On February 26, 2024, the government of present Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had given permission to appoint 11,062 posts, including 4,957 teachers, 796 special teachers at the primary level and 220 special teachers at the upper primary level, through direct recruitment.

Of the total 11,062 teacher posts, 2,629 are for School Assistants, 727 for Language Pandits, 182 for Physical Education Teachers (PET), and 6,508 for Non-Gazetted Teachers (NGT). In the special category, there are 220 posts for School Assistants and 796 posts for NGT.
In view of this, the government had canceled the DSC-2023 notification. Those wishing to apply can apply online from March 4, 2023 to April 2, 2024. The notification states that the age of the applicants should be minimum 18 years and maximum 46 years, the written examination will be conducted online in 11 cities of the state, the date of examination will be announced soon.
The Congress government had promised to fill two lakh vacant posts in a year. The government recently said that it has handed over appointment letters to 25,000 youth.
The application fee is Rs 1000.
