Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) has released 1317 vacancies for Group C Fireman and Driver posts. The application process will start from today, January 28. Interested candidates will be able to apply online by visiting the official website of the board, sssb.punjab.gov.in. The last date of application is 28 February. Candidates can pay the fees till March 3, 2023.
Among the vacant posts, 310 posts are for fireman and driver/operator in Municipal Corporation and the remaining 1007 posts are for fireman and driver/operator in Nagar Parishad, Nagar Panchayat.
The age limit for Fireman posts has been fixed at 18 to 27 years. 155 posts are for men and 85 are for women.
For the post of fireman, the height of the candidate should be at least 5.5 feet, chest should be 33.5. Will also have to run 100 yards in 1 minute with 60 kg weight. Rope will have to be climbed 8-10 feet above.
The age limit for Driver Operator has been fixed at 18-37 years. Along with this, the candidate should also have a heavy vehicle driving license for the last five years. He should be at least 8th pass. The height of the candidate should be at least 5.5 feet, chest should be 33.5. Will also have to run 100 yards in 1 minute with 60 kg weight. Rope will have to be climbed 8-10 feet above.
