More than 1900 women candidates had applied for all the posts. Surprisingly, 27 and 14 candidates have applied for one post each of head cook and peon respectively, of which one each is a B.Ed candidate. Whereas for both these posts, class 8 pass candidates were eligible to apply. Six graduates are in the race for the post of chief cook while four graduate degree holders are also in the race for the post of peon. Among the 29 applicants for the three posts of watchman, eight are graduates. Out of 47 applicants for ten posts of Assistant Cook, 12 are graduates.

It is noteworthy that due to legal hurdles regarding recruitment in Kasturba schools, the selection process could not be completed for two years. Earlier, till July 15, 2021, offline applications were invited for the recruitment of 36 full-time teachers and 20 part-time teachers, a total of 56, in Kasturba schools.
