Father used to sell milk, son became SDM after passing BPSC exam with 45th rank

BPSC 67th Topper Story 2023: Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) had declared the final results of the 67th Combined Competitive Examination on Saturday. In which 799 candidates have achieved success. In this examination, Praveen Kumar has passed the BPSC examination with 45 rank. Praveen Kumar comes from a farmer family. After passing the BPSC examination, he has been selected for the post of Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM). Let us know about them in detail.

Praveen Kumar is a resident of Vidyapati Nagar village in Samastipur district of Bihar. His father used to sell milk. He also used to do farming to meet the household expenses. Praveen had always been a bright student and wanted to join BPSC after completing his 10th class education.

After this, he passed class 12th from an inter college in the year 2014 and then he graduated from Satyawati College of Delhi University (DU). Later, he took his post-graduation degree in 2019. During his graduation and post graduation, he had prepared for BPSC exam and he was very serious about this exam.

Despite preparing well for BPSC, he was not able to pass the exam in the first attempt. After this he also gave his second attempt, but still could not succeed.

Praveen believes that once you fail in the exam, everything is not over. He decided to convert his defeat into victory and started preparing for the exam again. He used to take advice from his father for exams. He failed in his second attempt also. After this, he again gathered courage and started preparing by correcting the previous mistakes made during the examination. He paid a lot of attention to the exam pattern and strengthened his preparation. Finally, in his third attempt, Praveen cleared the BPSC exam and secured 45th rank. After the results were released, he and his family were filled with joy. He is the first member in the family to be elected to the post of SDM.

Let us tell you, Praveen’s mother died in a road accident in the year 2019. She always supported her son and wanted her son to become a government officer.

Praveen said, “Only hard work helps in achieving dreams and people should never give up and focus on their goals.”

Exam and interview were held on this day

BPSC had conducted the BPSC 67th written exam on December 30, 31, 2022 and January 7, 2023. In which 2,104 candidates were selected for the interview round. Shortlisted candidates were allowed to appear in the interview round. The Commission had conducted the interviews from October 9 to October 20, 2023.
