JSSC Jharkhand Police Constable Vacancy 2023: Today 21st February is the last date of application for recruitment to 4919 posts of JSSC Jharkhand Police Constable. If any interested and eligible candidate has still not applied then he can apply by visiting jssc.nic.in. The last date for paying fees is 23 February. The last date for uploading photo and signature is 25th February. Whereas amendments in the application can be made between February 26 and February 28. This recruitment will be for appointment to the constable posts of the district unit under the Home, Jail and Disaster Management Department. There are 3799 posts of regular in total vacancy and 1120 posts in backlog. Home Guard candidates will get quota in this recruitment.

1. Qualification – 10th pass.

2. Age Limit – 18 years to 25 years. (For unreserved and EWS)
Extremely backward class and backward class will get relaxation of two years in the maximum age limit. Women from unreserved, EWS, extremely backward classes will get a relaxation of three years. SC, ST men and women will get five years relaxation. The maximum age limit will be calculated from 01 August 2019. The minimum will be from 01 August 2023.

3. Height and height

Unreserved and EWS category – Height should be at least 160 cm and chest should be 81 cm.
SC and ST – Men should be at least 155 cm tall and 79 cm chest.

4. Selection – Physical Test, Medical Test and Written Examination.

First of all there will be a physical test which will be qualifying only. It will only be necessary to pass. Its marks will not be added to the merit. The written examination will be of 2 hours and will consist of two papers. Each question will be of three marks. All questions will be of multiple choice. The first paper will be of regional tribal language knowledge. The second paper will be on questions from Hindi language, numerical and general knowledge.

In the physical test, men will have to run 10 km in 60 minutes. Whereas women will have to run 5 km in 30 minutes.

The final merit list will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination keeping in mind the reservation.

10. Home Guard soldiers will get reservation

Home Guard trained personnel will be given 50 percent reservation in the appointment process. There will be a relaxation of five years in the maximum age limit for Home Guard soldiers. If candidates are not found on the posts reserved for Home Guards, non-Home Guard candidates will be appointed to those posts. Only the trained Home Guard soldiers registered from Jharkhand, who have given active service for a period of three years after registration or six months, will get the benefit of this provision.
