Campus Placement 2023: The first phase of placement drive in IIT Kanpur has started from December 1. For the first time, all the companies that came for placement in the 15-day long drive were given strict instructions that they would have to get the selected students joining the jobs within the stipulated time limit. On delay, the company will be blacklisted for the next time.
Many multinational companies like Microsoft, Apple have come for campus placement in the institute. Although these companies have brought attractive packages, the number of jobs is less than in previous years. Till now, more than 285 companies are selecting talents on the basis of interview and offering jobs in the institute. In view of the problems of previous years, the placement cell of the institute has given instructions to all the companies before the drive. In the last few years, students had complained that companies do not conduct joining at the stipulated time. This causes problems to the students.
Received offer of Rs 1.68 crore in IIT BHU:
Apart from IIT Kanpur, these days an annual fair for campus placement is going on in IIT BHU. Recently there has been good news for the students from here. From the very first day of campus placements, students have been showered with great offers. According to the data released from IIT late on Friday night, the highest package received was Rs 1.68 crore. According to the information, offers ranging from Rs 12.50 lakh to more than Rs 1 crore are being given to meritorious students. Here, after tests and interviews conducted in various slots on Friday, 353 paid internships were given to the students. A total of 465 offer letters including 307 pre-placement offers were distributed to final year students.
