Director of Elementary Education (DDE), Assam has invited applications for a total of 5,550 posts of Assistant Teacher. The posts are as follows.
1. Assistant Teacher of Lower Primary (LP) Schools – 3,800 posts
2. Assistant Teacher, Science Teacher and Hindi Teacher of UP Schools – 1,750 posts
Educational qualification
Only candidates who have passed Assam TET or CTET can apply for the posts of Assistant Teacher. With this, let us tell you that the candidates who have passed ATET or CTET for LP and UP are also eligible to apply for this post.

age limit
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age. The maximum age limit for Unreserved Category should not be more than 40 years, for Ex-Serviceman 42 years, for OBC/MOBC 43 years, for SC, ST 45 years. Whereas for PWBD category candidates the maximum age limit is 50 years.
How will the selection be done?
Candidates will be selected for the posts of Assistant Teacher on the basis of merit. Reservation of candidates belonging to OBC, MOBC, SC/ST(P)/ST(H), PWD categories will be taken into account during the selection process.
salary
Selected candidates will be given a salary ranging from Rs 14,000 to Rs 70,000 every month. Along with this, he will also be entitled to receive allowance.
