100% placement in XLRI, highest package of Rs 75 lakhs

This time, the students of XLRI, which is among the renowned business schools of the country, have achieved a record 100 percent placement this time for the academic session 2022-2024. All 509 students of the two-year PGDM (Business Management and Human Resource Management) batch have been selected. A total of 154 companies participated in the recruitment process. Out of a total of 509 students from the institute's Jamshedpur and Delhi campuses, he made 519 offers at the national level and one at the international level. There were 65 new companies which chose Excellers for the first time. The highest offer made in the country was Rs 75 lakh per year. The special thing this time was that a total of 33.39 percent students selected in the final placement had received Pre Placement Offer (PPO) due to their good work in the summer placement.

This time the final placement took place in two phases. The first phase Lateral Recruitment Process (LRP) was held for a week in January 2024, where students with prior work experience were interviewed and offered above entry level positions. The second phase Campus Recruitment Process (CRP) was conducted on a single day in February 2024, where there was no separate basis for work experience. All the students were selected on the basis of interview. Students from Jamshedpur and Delhi campuses participated in the placement process.

Excellent placement despite difficult circumstances: Director

XLRI Director Father S George congratulated and appreciated all the students for this achievement. Said that these students of the institute will become responsible leaders, who will play a big role in the development of the country. XLRI has achieved 100% placements in a record time frame amid tough market conditions this year. He also appreciated all the companies.

Average package 28 lakh, average package of top 10 students 51.66 lakh

This time the average salary was Rs 28 lakh per annum, in which the average package of the top 10 students was Rs 51.66 lakh, while the average package of the top 25 students was Rs 42.98 lakh per annum. The highest offer of Rs 75 lakh per annum was made from the BFSI sector. Maximum offers were given from Consulting, Sales and Marketing and ITES sectors. Accenture Strategy, Amazon, Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group, HUL, ITC, Asian Paints, Reliance, Tata Steel, Ola and PwC made the highest offers among regular recruiters. The new recruiters include companies like Air India, Shree Cement, Godrej, Tata Electronics.

Consulting firms made offers to 26% of the candidates.

Sector wise, the highest offers given to excellers were Consulting, ITES, E-Commerce, Sales & Marketing and General Management. Consulting firms made offers to 26% of the candidates. ITES, E-Commerce, Sales and Marketing offered 20% and 17% to students respectively. Whereas, Accenture Strategy, Amazon, BCG, Hindustan Unilever, Tata Steel, Bajaj Auto and many other recruiters gave the highest number of offers. Other new employers include Ola, BMW, Philip Morris, L'Oreal and many more.

Got a package of Rs 78.2 lakh last year

In last year's placement at XLRI, the highest offer of Rs 78.2 lakh per annum was given to students from the ITES sector. Whereas, the average salary of the batch was Rs 30 lakh per annum, with the average package of the top 10th and 25th percentile students being Rs 57.7 lakh and Rs 46.8 lakh per annum, respectively.
