Accident: Vehicle overturns in Jharkhand, two killed and 16 injured

A major accident took place in Jharkhand’s East Singhbhum district on Friday. Two laborers were killed and 16 others were injured when a pickup van overturned. Police said that the driver fled from the spot after the accident.


According to the police, about 30 laborers from Purulia and Bankura districts of West Bengal were on their way to Jamshedpur to catch the train for Visakhapatnam. So the accident happened with them on Patamda-Tata road of Patamda police station area.

Patamda police station in-charge Ashok Ram said that the driver lost control of the vehicle after the tire broke down. He said that of the 16 injured, six were admitted to the hospital where the condition of one is stated to be critical.
