Need to take decisive steps to improve the dignity of legislative bodies: Om Birla

Shimla, Nov 17 (PTI) Expressing concern over the shortfall in the number of meetings of legislative bodies and lack of discussion while framing laws, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Wednesday said all political parties to enhance the prestige and dignity of these bodies. Some decisive steps need to be taken in consultation with the parties.

Birla asked the presiding officers to review the rules and procedures of legislative bodies so that the rights of the people could be protected.
