UP Board: On the orders of the High Court, marks will be given in the blank marksheet

High school children of UP Board session 2020-2021 will now get numbered marksheets by November 15. High school children of these years of Kovid period were promoted by issuing marksheets without marks. On this child rights activist Naresh Paras along with 89 children of Agra filed a petition in the High Court. It was said in this that due to having blank marksheet, even after passing the Inter, they are not getting admission in other institutions. On this, the High Court ordered that the schools will have to send the marks by 20 September. Also, the board will have to issue the marksheets by November 15.

Child rights activist Naresh Paras filed a petition in the Allahabad High Court on behalf of the children. All the children were minors, so he advocated for all. In this nine-month-long case, the court, while hearing both the parties, said that the system of uploading notified marks before September 20 should be strictly followed by the institutions from where the students have studied in high school. Schools will have to send the tests on the basis of Pre-Board Examination of High School and 9th standard to the Board with clearly divided marks out of 70 and 30 in respect of theory and practical, project work respectively. Instructions have been issued to the institutions to provide the above data manually to the Secretary of the respondent Board within the aforesaid period. Along with this, the board has been directed that the board will adopt and implement the same system which it had adopted and implemented as per the mandate of 20 June 2021. Will calculate marks and award marks on the basis of revised list. This process should be done by the board on or before 15 September. Because, there is an issue of saving the academic careers of the students involved. The board after completing its process of awarding marks will issue revised mark sheet, marks and percentage marks as per government order issued on 20th June 2021, as it did in respect of children of other institutions.
