CTET 2024 Exam:Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2024 exam is around the corner. CTET exam consists of two papers, i.e., Paper 1 and Paper 2. About CTET Syllabus

Candidates should check the CTET Syllabus for Paper 1 and Paper 2 before starting their preparation. This will help them cover all aspects of the exam. Paper 1 syllabus is divided into five subjects, namely Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics and Environmental Studies.

Whereas Paper 2 syllabus is divided into four subjects, namely Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics and Science or Social Studies/Social Sciences.

The exam pattern will be like this

The exam will consist of multiple choice questions. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. It will be conducted in pen and paper-based mode. Paper 1 will have 5 sections while Paper 2 will have total 4 sections. CTET Paper 1 will be conducted to appoint teachers for classes 1 to 5. On the other hand, Paper II will be conducted for those candidates who want to become a teacher to teach students of class 5 to 8.

Candidates should choose such books which are recommended by experts to understand the basic concepts of the subjects/chapters prescribed in the syllabus. The next tip for CTET preparation is to choose one or two books for each subject and avoid learning any new topic at the last moment.
