Deepak Singh always had the desire to serve the country in his mind right from the beginning. After which he applied to join the police and in the year 2018, he joined the UP Police as a constable. After working for a year on the post of constable, Deepak Singh started preparing for UPPCS in the year 2019. Then in the year 2020, he also started preparing for UPSC CSE.
In the year 2019, Deepak gave his first attempt for UPPCS. In which he could not succeed. Then he gave the UPPCS exam in the year 2020, 2021 and 2022, but he failed all three times. Even after failing in an examination 4 times, he did not give up and decided to appear in the examination for the fifth time. In the fifth attempt, years of hard work paid off and he passed the exam with rank 20.
As far as UPSC is concerned, he had given two attempts in 2020 and 21, but failed. However, he had qualified in JRF and UGC NET in 2022.
How did you prepare while holding the post of constable?
Deepak Singh said, I knew that I needed full time to prepare for a competitive exam like UPPCS, but it was not possible to get so much time with my job, but I used to compromise on sleep during that time and somehow completed my weekly target. used to do. In those days, I managed to study for 4 to 5 hours a day.
Let us tell you, he had prepared for the exam from NCERT. He had adopted a different strategy for the exam. During preparation he worked on his weaknesses. To understand the exam pattern well, solve previous year question papers and make notes. To strengthen his preparation, he also took the help of online coaching and study material available on the internet. He also watched many study videos. Along with this, he used to read newspapers daily to get information about current affairs and used to analyze every news in detail.
