More than 7000 resident doctors of Maharashtra went on an indefinite strike from January 2 for their different demands. Minister Girish Mahajan also announced that the recruitment process for 1 thousand 432 posts will be completed within two days.
Giving information about the end of the strike, Minister Girish Mahajan said that there was a demand for appointment of senior doctors to 1432 posts, which has been accepted, after successful talks with the Maharashtra State resident doctors' association. Appointments to all these posts will be completed in two to three days. Rest of the demands will also be fulfilled soon.
Appeal for help from the Center as well, the state government is serious about the problems of hostels
On this occasion, Minister Mahajan said that a demand of Rs 500 crore is being made by the Central Government. Through Corporate Social Responsibility, an appeal has also been made to private institutions and companies to help in preparing hostels. Soon the demand for hostel facilities for medical students will be fulfilled. Along with this, the Medical Education Minister also said that the questions of the municipalities have been discussed with the commissioners. Minister Mahajan said that the meeting was concluded in a very positive atmosphere.

The demand of the senior resident doctors of the state was that the government should immediately order appointment for 1 thousand 432 posts. Dearness allowance should be given immediately and equal pay should be implemented for resident doctors. The strike was organized to fulfill these demands. But the Maharashtra government has currently resolved the matter through talks.
