Diploma technicians working in government, private hospitals and private labs of Uttarakhand will have to renew their registration every five years. Instructions in this regard have been issued by the State Medical Faculty. Paramedical students passed out from colleges of Uttarakhand who have done diploma courses have to register with the State Medical Faculty. Earlier registration was done once, but the rules changed in 2018. Despite this, a large number of technicians are not renewing their registration.
Secretary of the State Medical Faculty, Dr. Rajan Arora said that it is mandatory for all diploma technicians to renew their registration after five years. This is also mandatory for the technicians transferred from UP. Around one thousand technicians are currently registered in the state. A large number of technicians are not yet registered.
These will come under the scope
Only renewal registration of Physiotherapist, Optometry, X-ray, Lab, Cardiology, Dental and OT Technician in five years will be considered valid.
