Bihar Niyojit Shikshak: Discussion on giving status of state employees to employed teachers

A decision is expected to be taken soon on giving the status of state employees to about four lakh employed teachers of the state. Preparations in this regard have been completed by the Education Department. After the approval of the Finance Department and Cabinet, teachers will be given the status of state employees. Amidst these discussions, the state cabinet meeting is being held on Monday. The state government will take many important decisions in the meeting. It is known that usually Tuesday is fixed for the cabinet meeting, but this time it is being organized a day before. Major decisions related to the education department can also be taken in the meeting of the State Council of Ministers. It is known that this has been the demand of various teachers unions. The leaders of the Grand Alliance had also talked about this with CM Nitish Kumar.

Ongoing recruitment of 1.70 lakh teachers:

Let us tell you that at present the process of reinstatement of about 1.70 lakh posts of teachers in secondary and primary schools of the state is going on through Bihar Public Service Commission. For this, BPSC TRE was organized in the month of August. Currently, candidates for all levels of teacher posts are waiting for the release of TRE result. However, before this the Commission has started the work of document verification of TRE candidates. Document verification of secondary and higher secondary teachers was done from 4th September to 15th September 2023 and now the work of document verification for the post of primary teacher has started from 20th September which will be completed soon.
