Now private engineering colleges will be able to open in Bihar as well. Bihar Engineering University has opened the way to give its affiliation. Regarding this, the Registrar of Engineering University Pradeep Kumar has issued a letter. He has sought applications for affiliation from institutions willing to run engineering colleges. NGOs and trusts can also get a chance to open engineering colleges. At present only government engineering colleges are running in all the districts of the state. The registrar of Bihar Engineering University has said in his letter that if any society or company wants to open an engineering college in IT, architecture and planning and management, they can send an application to Bihar Engineering University for the same. Engineering universities will give affiliation to such colleges.
However, the registrar has said in his letter that the institute has to first take recognition from AICTE to open an engineering college. Only AICTE approved institute will be given affiliation to the university. The university has also issued a format for applying for affiliation. In this, the applying institution will have to tell in which course it has got recognition from AICTE. Apart from this he will start graduation course or PG course.
Full name and address of the operator of the institution will have to be given. Apart from this, information about the post held by the applicant in the organization will have to be given. He will also have to give full details of the institute. In this, the complete address of the institution, website, where the institution is located and what is its boundary, when the institution was established, when it got approval from AICTE will also have to be given in the format. The institution will also have to state whether it receives any grant from the government or not. How many teachers are there in the institute, whether there is a regular principal or not, the information about the lab, library will also have to be sent to the university by the institute. The institute will have to tell how many books are there in its library. Whether there are hostels or not, whether there is a playground or not, the university will also have to inform.
