NEET: The National Testing Agency has just extended the application deadline for NEET UG. Now it is expected that the number of applications which had reached its high level of 25 lakh, may increase further. In fact, many candidates had raised questions that they were facing difficulty in applying, due to which the date of application was extended. Let us tell you that NEET exam will be conducted on 5th May 2024 while the result will be announced on 14th June 2024. Now it is expected that the number of applications may further increase by two lakhs to twenty-seven lakhs. There have never been so many applications for NEET before. Talking about seats in medical colleges, at present there are only 108940 MBBS seats in the country. If seen, the number of candidates applying for NEET has been increasing for the last several years. In 2019, 15,19000 had applied, while in 2020 the number reached 15,97,000, in 2021, 16 lakh, in 2022, 18 lakh and in 2023, 20 lakh and now the record has been broken, this time 25 lakh candidates have applied. Applications have been made, the number of which may increase further.

In which courses admission is available, when is NEET exam?

Through NEET, admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS and various other undergraduate medical courses is done in all the medical colleges of the country. Apart from this, candidates for Military Nursing Service (MNS) will also be able to take admission in B.Sc Nursing course of Armed Forces Medical Service Hospital through the marks of NEET UG exam.

Telangana- 8490 seats in 56 medical colleges
Andhra Pradesh- 6485 seats in 37 medical colleges
