Lucknow University: 7200 applications received for 974 PhD seats, examination to be held on 24th and 25th February

Lucknow University PhD Admission 2024: The date for PhD application in Lucknow University has ended. A total of 7200 applications have been received for 974 seats. The entrance examination will be conducted on 24th and 25th February. Admit card will be issued on 18th February. The last date to apply online under the PhD admission process for session 2023-24 in LU was fixed as 10th February. At the end of the last date, the admission cell has announced the total number of applications and the date of the entrance examination.

Spokesperson Prof. Durgesh Srivastava says that for admission, entrance examination will be organized in the main and new campuses of LU on 24th and 25th February. He told that the candidates can check the date of entrance examination subject wise by going to PhD Admission of Admission page on the website of LU.

The spokesperson said that the entrance examination will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift has been scheduled from 10:30 am to 12 noon and the second shift has been scheduled from 02:30 pm to 4 pm. He says that in case of any inconvenience, you can contact the helpline number 0522-4150500 from 10 am to 6 pm.

The entrance examinations for these subjects will be held on 24 February.

On February 24, in the first shift, there will be entrance examination for Business Administration, Biochemistry, Journalism and Mass Communication, English, Public Health, Public Policy and Governance, Persian, Home Science, Mathematics, Physical Education, Anthropology, Western History and Urdu subjects. In the second shift, examinations of Political Science, Physics, Geography, Zoology, Statistics, Applied Economics, Arabic, Sanskrit, Sociology, French, Arab Culture and Linguistics will be conducted.

Entrance examination for 16 subjects will be held on February 25.

On February 25, in the first shift, there will be entrance examination for the subjects of Pedagogy, Oriental Sanskrit, Geology, Economics, Ancient Indian History and Archeology and Law. In the second shift, there will be examinations for Commerce, Botany, MIH, Psychology, Defense Studies, Philosophy, Social Work, Public Administration, Chemistry and Hindi subjects.

Number of applications received more than last year

This year more applications have been received for admission to PhD for session 2022-23. Pro. Durgesh Srivastava said that this year 7200 applications have been received for about 974 seats in 41 subjects. Whereas last year 6574 applications were received.

Admit cards will be issued on 18th February

Admit cards for PhD entrance examination will be released on February 18. To download it, candidates can use the login ID received earlier.

Those applying for more than one subject should inform

In the information issued by the Admission Cell, it has been said that if a candidate has applied in more than one subject, he will have to inform by 15th February. To inform the university, all the information will have to be written and mailed on the official mail ID of the admission cell.
