Know what to do and what not to score 275 marks in UPSC interview.

UPSC CSE interview 2023: Interview is the final stage of UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE). Candidates who have qualified the UPSC Main Examination will appear in the Personality Test i.e. Interview. While UPSC Main Exam is of 1750 Marks, UPSC Interview will be of 275 Marks. Candidates who are successful in UPSC main examination are advised to first fill the Detailed Application Form (DAF). In which candidates will have to fill personal and educational information, hobbies and interests, service (like IAS, IPS, IFS) and cadre state etc. Candidates appearing for UPSC interview should remember that every interview board member has a copy of DAF. On the basis of which questions can be asked.

Candidates should keep in mind that questions related to current affairs are most likely to be asked in the interview. Therefore candidates are advised to read at least two newspapers, magazines etc. per day.

– Always maintain a positive attitude while preparing for and during the interview. Along with this, take special care not to create your image in such a way that it looks fake. Improve something within yourself, but do not try to change yourself at all.

-Candidates are advised to wear formal dress on the day of interview. For men it consists of a well-fitting suit or a shirt/trouser with tie, polished leather formal shoes and a belt. Whereas girls can wear saree/salwar-kameez. Along with this, girls are advised not to use excessive jewellery, excessive make-up and not to wear brightly colored clothes. Men are advised that if they are wearing a suit then it should not be printed.
